2009 Pelican Island Wildlife Festival

Photo Contest Results

One hundred and twenty photographs were entered in the photography exhibition and contest at the 17th Annual Pelican Island Wildlife Festival on Saturday, March 14. A constant flow of attendees viewed these photos with admiration during the festival.

Charlie Corbeil of Melbourne took the Best in Show award with his framed image of a Sandhill Crane Chick with Mother. This photo was also chosen for the People’s Choice by the attendees at the festival.

Students from local schools submitted more than forty photographs for exhibition and judging. The complete results of the judging are shown below.
